Children's Media & Peacemaking

Peace Education is a permanent task. Actually, peace education is a very urgent task. Since (education for) hatred, violence and war making are growing and many of us are involved in war and conflict, even if living far away from martial events.

Can television and media be an efficient tool for peace education? What are the experiences to learn from? What are the projects in different regions of the globe? Are there any useful models? Is cooperation possible, even coproduction?

The BaKaFORUM Mission

BaKaFORUM TV and Media Forum is a meeting point and platform for exchange and cooperation for broadcasters, independent producers as well as cultural, educational and societal organizations interested in quality TV work, global education and development education. The annual conference includes sessions, a contest, screenings and workshops. During the year, BaKaFORUM is committed to continuously support common initiatives and projects in line with its mission.

BaKaFORUM working process is an annual meeting and continuous cooperation and support for projects connected with the BaKaFORUM focus.
