Tim Guldimann is a professor at Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University, Frankfurt/Main (Germany). During his diplomatic career, he was very much involved in that “oriental-occidental conflict” as a head of OSCE missions in Chechnya (1996-1997) and in Croatia (1997-1999) and as an Ambassador of Switzerland in Teheran 1999-2004.
