Conflicts Between Orient and Occident - A never ending History
The conflict between orient and occident, Muslim and Christian world, has become a global key conflict of our times. Tim Guldimann is a professor at Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University, Frankfurt/Main (Germany). During his diplomatic career, he was very much involved in that “oriental-occidental conflict” as a head of OSCE missions in Chechnya (1996-1997) and in Croatia (1997-1999) and as an Ambassador of Switzerland in Teheran 1999-2004.
